Are you wondering if it’s safe to see the dentist during COVID-19? If you come to All Smiles Dental Studio, the answer is “yes.” We are always here to help you get the expert dental care you need in Cincinnati, and Dr. Beth Hanks is taking every possible precaution to protect you and your family during this unprecedented time. Learn more about how we’re protecting you below.
Before your appointment and when you check in, you’ll be asked to complete a brief questionnaire about whether or not you’ve recently traveled, past exposure to COVID-19, and symptoms that may indicate that you have COVID-19. This helps us ensure that we are not treating patients who may have been exposed and may be infectious.
We have made some changes to our waiting area to provide 6 feet of distance between each patient at All Smiles Dental Studio. We require all patients to wear masks when entering our office, and we have hand sanitizer available to ensure that you can clean your hands before your appointment. You’re also welcome to wash your hands in our bathroom.
If possible, we do ask that you come to your appointment alone, unless you are supervising children, or you need help getting into and out of All Smiles Dental Studio. This helps reduce the total number of people in our office at any given time.
All of our front office team members are now wearing masks for your protection, and are protected by barriers to prevent the potential spread of COVID-19 and other illnesses.
In addition to that, our dental team members are wearing eye protection, masks, and gloves, as usual. However, we may also wear additional PPE such as face shields, gowns, shoe coverings, and head coverings in some situations. This provides extra security and safeguards against illnesses like COVID-19.
Our team has begun wiping down frequently-touched surfaces in common areas regularly. This includes things like tables, chairs, countertops, doorknobs, bathroom surfaces, and other surfaces you may come into contact with at All Smiles Dental Studio. This ensures a safe, comfortable environment.
We have always followed recommendations and requirements from OSHA, the CDC, the ADA, and other regulators for cleaning our patient operating areas between each patient. However, we are being even more conscious now, and doing everything we can to completely sanitize and clean the entire operating area between each patient, which gives you peace of mind.
All of our employees have been fully trained on how to control and reduce the risk of infectious illnesses like COVID-19 by doing things like washing hands before and after seeing patients and whenever they touch a contaminated surface, and practicing proper respiratory hygiene, such as sneezing into the elbow and washing their hands if they contact any respiratory secretions.
